DETAILS: This set of basement stairs was given a bright new look with the addition of custom built newel posts, fresh paint and revitalized stair treads. The Berber carpet was removed to reveal hard pine treads that were sanded, stained and given multiple coats of an oil-based polyurethane for extra durability.
FINISH: Primer + 2 Coats Benjamin Moore Waterborne Satin Impervo® Paint in Cloud White + 3 coats of General Finishes High Performance Polyurethane Water-based Satin topcoat (newel posts and trim) and 3 coats of Minwax® Fast-Drying Polyurethane Clear Satin (stair treads)
